Dr. Shelby Glenboski
Dr. Shelby Glenboski (or Dr. G as she is affectionately known) found her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age while riding horses and caring for the animals at her family's home in Lake County Florida. Dr. G performed her undergraduate studies at Florida State University before achieving the rare feat of early admittance into Auburn University College of Veterinary medicine during her junior year of undergrad. While in veterinary school Dr. G excelled academically, and in her limited free time enjoyed volunteering for the local humane society raising foster puppies. She also spent time hiking in the Tuskegee national forest with her dogs. In 2016 Dr. G graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary medicine; then she, and her husband Josh, moved to Wisconsin where she practiced in a progressive small animal practice for 2 years. After enduring two cold Wisconsin winters Dr. G, Josh, and their menagerie of animals moved back home to the sunshine state.
In 2018, Dr. G started her own relief veterinary business working in numerous animal hospitals throughout north central Florida. After a year of working for us at Lake City Animal Hospital in her relief capacity, we knew that Dr. G’s compassionate demeanor, and commitment to high quality veterinary medicine, would make her an excellent addition to our team.
Dr. G is a member of numerous professional organizations including the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the FVMA (Florida Veterinary Medical Association).
She now lives in Alachua FL with her husband Josh and their beautiful daughters Reagan and Olivia. A true animal lover Dr. G also shares her home with two Labradors Remington and Darlene, O'malley the cat, her horse Toby, Reagan's pony Rhonda, and the four family chickens.
