Canine Influenza Vaccination
Protects against dog flu; recommended in high-risk environments or during outbreaks. Two doses, 2–4 weeks apart. Annual booster recommended for at-risk dogs.
Lyme Disease Vaccination
Protects against tick-borne illness that causes joint pain, fever, and kidney complications. Initial series of 2 vaccines, 2–4 weeks apart starting at 9–12 weeks. Annual booster for at-risk dogs.
DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis/Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) Vaccination
Protects against severe, often fatal viral infections. Start at 8 weeks; boosters every 2-4 weeks until 16 weeks old. After the initial puppy series, dogs will get a booster every 1-3 years.
Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccination
Recommended for social dogs or those in daycare, boarding, or grooming settings. Given as early as 8 weeks (oral, intranasal, or injectable). Boost annually or every 6 months depending on risk.
Leptospirosis Vaccination
Protects against a bacterial infection that affects kidneys/liver and can spread to humans. Typically starts at 8–12 weeks; 2 doses 3–4 weeks apart, then annually. May be combined with DHPP.
Rabies Vaccination
Protects against a fatal disease that is transmissible to humans and other species. First dose between 12–16 weeks; booster at 1 year, then every 1–3 years depending on local law and vaccine used.
